For its 15th anniversary season, “The Voice” is pulling out all the stops. This Saturday, the show will welcome an additional coach for what is being announced as a “world premiere.” We have all the details!
It has been five weeks since Lara Fabian, Amel Bent, Florent Pagny, and Tayc, the new addition to the team, have been vying for contestants to join their teams in the 15th season of “The Voice.” The production has planned a myriad of surprises to spice up the competition! From adding secret weapons, blocks (and unblocks), to the photo booth offered by Tayc to the talents joining his team, familiar faces from the show’s history such as Mika, who tricked Florent Pagny, Amir, Linh, and Claudio Capéo have made appearances at the Lendit studios for a walk down memory lane. As for the casting, viewers have been able to see former talents from “The Voice Kids,” the brother of a famous singer, and even a former contestant from the “Star Academy”!
The biggest novelty of the season is set to arrive in the 6th week of the broadcast. This Saturday evening on TF1, “The Voice” will offer a “world premiere”: co-coaches from the blind auditions onwards! Specifically, four former coaches of the program will lend a helping hand to Florent Pagny, Lara Fabian, Tayc, and Amel Bent over four nights. The identity of the first guest was revealed in the teaser that concluded the last episode. “Please, make some noise for my superstar… Matt Pokora!” exclaimed Amel Bent, excitedly, as she embraced her friend. But how will this unprecedented process unfold?
The coach who led Lisandro Cuxi to victory in 2017 will sit directly beside Amel Bent, but they will have only one buzzer between them. This means that the two artists will have to coordinate before pressing it! The production of “The Voice” has apparently reclaimed the double chair that Bigflo and Oli operated for two seasons for this unique mechanism that will last until April 25th. The other three coaches will also benefit from this boost.
In the upcoming episodes, Kendji Girac will assist Tayc while Louis Bertignac will make a grand return to “The Voice” after 12 years to help Lara Fabian make her choices. “I have loved him forever,” marvels the singer. Lastly, Florent Pagny will welcome his great friend Zazie: “She’s been my buddy for a long time, and in the argument, it’s always extraordinary. I know she won’t be lost.” The coaches’ goal remains the same: to assemble the best team possible for the next stage, the groups.
