National 3 (21st Matchday): Vire – Lannion FC: 4-0
After a raw deal against Vire, who keeps their promotion hopes intact, Lannion FC experienced a day to forget this Saturday (4-0).
Between two of the top three attacking teams in the league at the start of this matchday – 31 goals in 20 matches – a spectacle was expected between the second and fourth in the league. The suspense was quickly swept away after a brace from Kowalczyk (15′, 55′), confirming the tremendous offensive potential of the team from Calvados.
Lannion at a Standstill
Because if it wasn’t the Vire striker who stood out, it was a substitute, namely Aumond (3-0, 58′), or even the talented Lamrabette (4-0, 73′) who found the net, completing the high-flying performance of the Vire team. Continuously under pressure against the best team in the second half of the season, the Lannion side could only acknowledge the damage and see the distance they still have to cover to try and break into the top ranks of the league.
Falling back since early February, where the Lannion players have struggled to replicate a promising first half of the season, they only want one thing: to keep learning and aim to finish as high as possible. With six points out of 21 possible in the last seven matches, Rémy Le Bourdoulous’ team is at a standstill.
