Israel’s Defense Minister, Israël Katz, announced that the army had “eliminated” the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Navy, Alireza Tangsiri, in a video released by his office. “Other senior naval officers” have also been killed, according to the Israeli minister. “The man directly responsible for the terrorist operation of mining and blocking the Strait of Hormuz has been eliminated,” he added, promising to “continue to track down the Guards’ leaders one by one.”
