Israeli alert calling for evacuation of Tyre and its surroundings

The Israeli army issued an urgent appeal on Tuesday evening calling for the evacuation of the city of Tyre and several refugee camps and surrounding neighborhoods in southern Lebanon.

In a statement released by its Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichay Adraee, the army urged residents to immediately leave their homes and head north of the Zahrani River.

“Hezbollah’s activities require us to act with force. We have no intention of causing you harm,” the statement said, urging civilians to evacuate the designated areas “for their safety.”

The Israeli army specified that this warning particularly concerned the areas of Shabriha, Hamadiyah, Jal al-Bahr, Zaqouq al-Mufdi, Al-Bas, Ma’shouq, Bourj al-Chemali, Nabaa, Al-Haouch, Rashidiyah, and Ain Baal.

It also warned that “any building used by Hezbollah for military purposes is likely to be targeted,” adding that the presence of civilians near these sites “endangers their lives.”

The statement emphasized that any movement south of the Zahrani River could expose residents to increased risks.
