During the weekend, a supermarket in Saint-Orens-Gameville was robbed by a lone individual. Quickly identified, this 16-year-old boy was apprehended by the police. He admitted to the crime in front of the investigating judge.
When on Saturday afternoon the gendarmes crossed paths with the main suspect of an armed attack, they did not hesitate. They were there to “locate” the suspect’s residence, and they immediately arrested him. This boy of only sixteen years old was still carrying the weapon used in the armed robbery.
During his custody, in front of the investigators of the research brigade of the Villefranche-de-Lauragais company, this individual was reluctant to admit his assault. On Friday evening, just after 8 p.m., he threatened two employees, forcing them to empty the cash registers, including the money in the store’s safe.
Evidence gathered by forensic technicians, as well as from victims and surveillance videos, left little doubt about the involvement of the young suspect. In front of the investigating judge, he admitted to his involvement.
The judge did not refer the case to the judge for liberties and detention. Placed under judicial supervision, entrusted to the juvenile justice system, he is prohibited from going to Saint-Orens and strictly prohibited from approaching the two victims of the armed robbery.
