Secretary General and President To Lam: Building a globally strong military force for Military Region 3.

The General Secretary and President To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, attends the event and delivers an opening speech.

Comrades Luong Cuong, former member of the Politburo and former president; Le Minh Hung, member of the Politburo and Prime Minister; Pham Minh Chinh, former member of the Politburo and former Prime Minister; and Tran Thanh Man, member of the Politburo and President of the National Assembly, sent congratulatory floral arrangements.

Also present were former members of the Politburo; secretaries of the Party Central Committee; members and former members of the Party Central Committee; Party and state leaders; leaders of central and local departments, ministries, and agencies; leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of National Defense; heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense; Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, and officers and soldiers of the 3rd military region from different periods.

During his report on the achievements of the 3rd Military Region, Lieutenant General Luong Van Kiem, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the 3rd Military Region, emphasized that this region, created on October 31, 1945, holds crucial strategic importance for the economy, national defense, and security of the North and the entire country. Rich in exceptional historical and cultural heritage, it is the birthplace of the Red River civilization. Throughout the struggle for liberation and national defense, the 3rd Military Region has been the stage for numerous famous battles culminating in glorious victories.

Over more than 80 years of construction, combat, and maturation, under the Party’s guidance and regular and direct authority of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of the 3rd Military Region have always fought bravely, achieving remarkable victories, in the eyes of the Party, the people, and the army, contributing to great victories for the national liberation cause, protecting the socialist Vietnamese homeland, and fulfilling glorious international obligations.
