President Donald Trump wrote on his truth social platform, “All ships, aircraft, and military personnel, with additional ammunition and weapons, will remain in and around Iran until the real agreement reached is fully respected.” The American military will remain deployed near Iran until the full implementation of a “real agreement,” the President declared on Wednesday night, following the announcement of a fragile two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
“If not, it will be stronger than anything anyone has ever seen,” he warned. President Trump emphasized, “America is back!” considering it “highly unlikely” that an agreement would not be reached and implemented. “In the meantime, our great army is refueling and resting, eagerly awaiting its next conquest. America is back!” he emphasized, in bold letters, shortly before midnight in Washington.
One of the stumbling blocks in the negotiations set to take place in Pakistan on Friday or Saturday is the restart of maritime traffic in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a global hydrocarbon supply route. The President also wrote, “It was agreed long ago: no nuclear weapons, and the Strait of Hormuz will be open and secure.”
