Sunday, March 29, at around 4:30 pm, an individual boarded an electric scooter and robbed the tobacco shop Le Lotharingie on Grande Rue in Nancy. Wearing a hat and a surgical mask to conceal his face, the man brandished a firearm and demanded the contents of the cash register. Faced with the resistance of the tobacconist, the robber fled empty-handed.
On March 30, the Carrefour Express on Rue de la Craffe in Nancy was the target of a similar attack. This time, the robber posed as a customer at the checkout around 7:30 pm to pay for a simple bottle of water. When the employee opened the cash register, the individual threatened her with a firearm and took around 500 euros before fleeing on a scooter.
