In the midst of conflict in the Middle East, the American army has managed to retrieve two of its members who were sought in Iran. The second American pilot whose plane crashed has been rescued and is now “safe and sound,” announced Donald Trump on Sunday. American media had previously reported that a first crew member had been rescued, which was also confirmed by the White House occupant.
“In the past few hours, the American army has carried out one of the most daring search and rescue operations in United States history, to assist one of our incredible crew officers, who is also a highly respected colonel,” wrote the American president on his Truth Social network.
A very large rescue operation
“I am pleased to announce that he is now SAFE AND SOUND!” added Donald Trump, specifying however that the military member had been injured. According to him, the rescue operation mobilized “dozens of aircraft.”
Iranian and American forces had been searching since Friday for the crew of the first American fighter jet to crash in Iran since the start of the war. The Iranian army had claimed to have shot down an F-15E fighter-bomber.

“This is the first time in military memory that two American pilots have been rescued, separately, in the heart of enemy territory,” emphasized Donald Trump. According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the Revolutionary Guards claimed that an American aircraft had been shot down during the rescue operations in the Isfahan region.
