Celine Dion has chosen Paris for her return to the stage with 10 concerts scheduled for September-October.
The Canadian singer will perform at Paris La Defense Arena, the largest concert hall in Europe.
Her ties to the French capital are strong, with her career taking off in France shortly after her start in Quebec. Dion has a special connection to Paris, making her comeback concert a highly anticipated event for fans.
The concert venue, La Defense Arena, will accommodate up to 33,000 seated guests per night (or 45,000 if a standing pit configuration is used). Dion’s return to the stage comes after the cancellation of her previous tour due to the pandemic and health issues.
Her longstanding relationship with France, including collaborations with Jean-Jacques Goldman and recording the best-selling French-language album of all time, has endeared her to French audiences.
Parisians showed their excitement for Dion’s return with mysterious displays of her song lyrics on city billboards and the illumination of the Eiffel Tower to announce her concert dates.
Dion had previously expressed her dream of singing at the Eiffel Tower, which was fulfilled during the announcement of her upcoming concerts in Paris.
This long-awaited return to the stage in Paris promises to bring joy and beauty to audiences, reaffirming Dion’s strong bond with her French fans.
