Saturday Marks the 36th Day of War in the Middle East

Engaged in a costly war, the White House unveiled its budget proposal for 2027 on Friday, calling on Congress for a 42% increase in defense spending within one year for the colossal United States.

On the ground, strikes continue, both on the Iranian and Lebanese front: the Israeli army once again bombed the southern suburbs of Beirut at dawn on Saturday, several explosions were heard early Saturday morning from northern Tehran, and a salvo of Iranian missiles was fired towards Israel.

The fact that an American fighter jet crashed in Iran, a first since the beginning of the war, of which at least one of the two crew members is still missing, “changes nothing at all” regarding the potential negotiations with Tehran, assured President Donald Trump in a telephone interview to NBC.

The New York Times also reported the crash of a second American aircraft near the Strait of Hormuz, with its sole pilot being rescued unharmed.
