Is the end of the conflict in the Middle East approaching? In a new twist, Donald Trump announced on Tuesday, March 31, that the United States would leave Iran in the coming weeks.
“All I have to do is leave Iran and we will do it very soon,” Donald Trump told journalists. He then mentioned a “two, maybe three weeks” timeline, and ultimately, according to him, it doesn’t matter whether an agreement is reached with the Islamic Republic: it’s “irrelevant.”
“We will leave very soon. And if France or another country wants their oil or gas, they will go straight to the Strait of Hormuz and figure it out on their own. I think it will be a very safe place in reality, but we have nothing to do with that,” he continued.
The American president is scheduled to speak on Wednesday evening to the nation and provide his latest position on the conflict in Iran.
