After Jorge Martin (Aprilia) won the sprint, Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) set the record straight. Even after colliding with Pedro Acosta (KTM) on the first lap, following a strong start by the Spaniard, the Italian quickly took the lead and never looked back. He also broke the historical record for most laps led (104) and claimed his 5th consecutive Grand Prix win. Only Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez had achieved this in the modern era.

He finished ahead of Jorge Martin (Aprilia) and Pedro Acosta (KTM). In the overall standings, Marco Bezzecchi leads with 4 points over his teammate Jorge Martin. Pedro Acosta, with 21 points, completes the podium.

On the French side, Johann Zarco crashed on the 3rd lap (Honda LCR) and Fabio Quartaro finished 17th (Yamaha).
