Vincent Walter and Fanny Jacob’s journey began in 2011, exploring iconic desert locations in California. They embarked on an unplanned tour as the band “Yard Of Blondes,” seeking to experience the American dream in Los Angeles, the city of inspiration, and the legendary sites of their youth.
These musicians, armed with guitars and keyboards, traversed the bars and saloons of the Mojave Desert, performing in unconventional venues amid the sun-scorched roads. What started as a musical road trip with their friend Jérémie Thomas filming, evolved into the creation of a short music documentary film titled “Dust and Rust,” accompanied by an EP of six tracks recorded at Joshua Tree’s “Back Of The Moon” studio.
Their journey reflects a unique encounter, merging both personal and musical exploration in the vastness of the desert. Originating from Bourgogne and Var, Vincent and Fanny’s love story blossomed in Los Angeles, where their musical pursuits led to collaborations with renowned artists like Alain Johannes and Maxime Nucci.
Their adventures extended to performing at iconic LA venues, connecting with the music scene that once inspired their dreams. The pinnacle of their journey was collaborating on the ultimate song of French artist Johnny Hallyday, solidifying their musical legacy in the industry.
After years of musical exploration in the US, Vincent and Fanny returned to their native France, settling in Menton on the French Riviera. While teaching in Monaco, their musical aspirations remain alive as they continue to write and produce music at Monte Verde Studio, sharing their experiences and artistic vision with audiences through screenings, acoustic concerts, and intimate reinterpretations of their desert-inspired songs.
As they invite cultural venues in the region to support their project, Vincent and Fanny hope to inspire others with the possibilities that their story represents, demonstrating that dreams can be realized through dedication and passion.
