Julien Doré forced to cancel US tour due to visa issue
It’s a blow for Julien Doré’s fans in the United States. The singer will not be able to perform five dates of his tour in Uncle Sam’s country, according to Arachnée Productions, the company organizing the artist’s concerts, in an Instagram story published this Saturday, March 21. “The failure to obtain work visas for our tour teams in the United States unfortunately forces us to cancel the dates,” the company wrote.
“Despite the anticipation and efforts made by our teams, today we are forced to make this decision independently of our will,” it continues in its statement. Announced in the fall, the tour titled “Juju in America” had five dates in the United States in the first half of May.
The two dates in Canada are still on
Good news, however, for Canadian fans of “Juju“: the concerts scheduled in Montreal on April 29 and in Quebec City on April 30 are not affected by visa issues. “The Canadian dates are maintained and we are looking forward to seeing you there,” Arachnée Productions stated in its story. In Europe, Julien Doré’s tour is flawless.
The singer, made famous by “Nouvelle Star,” has performed over 120 concerts and gathered over a million spectators, making his tour the largest in France for a solo artist. “The goal is to lock ourselves together for two hours in a room and forget a little about what has happened during the day,” he explained in late November during an interview on the show “Quotidien.”
Julien Doré was aware that he is doing “what he loves” in life, “in a world where unfortunately it is impossible.” “This privilege, I have to do something with it, I have to give something back,” he said, aiming to “do good” for the audience, “transform the space for a moment.”
