Two weeks after the start of the war in the Middle East, American President Donald Trump stated on Friday, March 13th in the evening that Iran “is completely defeated and wants an agreement,” but he did not want this last possibility. “The media spreading false information are trying to report on the excellent results achieved by the American military against Iran, which is completely defeated and wants to conclude an agreement – but not an agreement that I would accept!” the Republican wrote on his Truth Social network, without further details.

“All oil, economic, and energy facilities owned by oil companies in the region partly owned by the United States or cooperating with the United States will be immediately destroyed and reduced to ashes,” threatened the spokesman for the central headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya, an engineering company affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, as cited by Iranian media in return.

On Friday, the United States struck the Kharg island in the Persian Gulf, which is Iran’s main oil hub. The raid targeted military facilities, which were completely destroyed, claimed Donald Trump on Truth Social. “I chose NOT to destroy the oil infrastructure of the island,” he stated. “However, if Iran, or anyone else, were to do anything to impede the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I would immediately reconsider my decision.”

No oil infrastructure was damaged, also asserted the Iranian news agency Fars, explaining that “the enemy tried to damage the military defenses, the naval base Joshan, the airport control tower, and the helicopter hangar of the Continental Shelf Oil Company.”

The American President has made conflicting statements regarding the duration of the military operations and the future of the regime in Iran. The United States and Israel continue to bomb Iran. Already, 15,000 targets have been hit, according to both countries.
