In Pakistan, a fear looms over the resumption of strikes in Iran and the Middle East after failed negotiations in Islamabad. The U.S., Iran, and Pakistan engaged in lengthy talks to end the war, but have not reached an agreement. The U.S. Vice President expressed disappointment over the lack of commitment from Tehran to abandon its nuclear weapons program. Iranian officials attributed the talks’ failure to unreasonable demands from the U.S.

As discussions concluded, the U.S. emphasized the need for a formal commitment from Iran regarding nuclear weapons development. New topics, including the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, were added to the negotiations. Recent military actions in the strait have raised concerns about global oil supply stability. Despite ongoing talks, President Trump remains unfazed about reaching an agreement with Iran, claiming military victory.

Over 2,000 people have died in the conflict, with Lebanon bearing the brunt of the casualties. Following a ceasefire, Israel continues to combat Hezbollah in Lebanon, leading to high death tolls. Talks between Lebanon and Israel have been scheduled, but face opposition from Hezbollah. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu aims for a long-lasting peace agreement.
