President Donald Trump assured on Monday that the ceasefire proposal put forward for Iran and the United States is “very significant” but “not enough.”
President Trump said that the conflict could end “very quickly,” stating that the United States is “negotiating.”
According to the American news site Axios, Turkish, Egyptian, and Pakistani mediators are discussing a two-phase proposal, with an initial 45-day ceasefire to allow for negotiations before reaching an agreement to end the war.
President Trump also addressed the rescue of two American pilots from the downed F-15E fighter jet in Iran, stating that they are “doing very well” and “getting better.”
President Trump is scheduled to hold a press conference “with the military” at the White House at 7 p.m.
