Speaking for a few minutes on Saturday, February 28, Donald Trump announced that the United States has launched “major combat operations” against Iran. “Iran is the number 1 state sponsoring terrorism in the world. And they have slaughtered their citizens who protested in their streets,” the American president claimed.
Donald Trump also extensively discussed the issue of nuclear weapons. “We have tried repeatedly to make a deal with the Iranians. They said they wanted to do it, but they don’t want to anymore. For decades, they have rejected all opportunities to give up their nuclear ambitions. We can’t take it anymore,” he explained.
“This regime wants to kill. There may be casualties, but we are not doing this operation for now, for the present, but for the future,” continued the Republican president.
