On Saturday afternoon, TFC continued their unbeaten streak with a draw against Reims (0-0). Despite dominating the game, Toulouse’s offense remained silent, but they are still on course for promotion as they prepare to face Thonon Evian at home next Sunday.

Reims 0 – Toulouse 0 Referee: Mr. Guillot assisted by Ms. Lluch and Ms. Bouyaiche. REIMS: Bouchard, Vilgrain, Ou Mahi, Maniouloux, Mouzon, Nicot, Battouri, Saidi Muscara, Chamsoudine, Notel, Smits. Warnings: Battouri (81), Vilgrain (90). TFC: Grillon – Sierra, Bogi, Riquelme Jouanin (Perea, 80), Pardon, Atamaniuk (Grinfan, 72), Champagnac (Bironien, 72), Solanet, Marty (Lambert, 89), Altunkulak, Lapassouse. Coach: Antoine Gérard. Warnings: Riquelme Jouanin (8), Bironien (90), Altunkulak (90).

“This match doesn’t tarnish the end of our season. There’s a bit of frustration, which is normal considering our good run,” said coach Antoine Gérard. Yesterday afternoon, Toulouse arrived in Reims with eight consecutive victories but settled for a draw. However, this won’t stop them from aiming for promotion.

“The group is fully committed. There are no doubts about this match. We will approach the next match (next Sunday, at home) against Thonon Evian with the same ambition as usual,” added the coach of the Violettes.

“We still showed a good face” In Marne, TFC was clearly dominant. However, for the third time this season in the championship, Toulouse ended a game without scoring. “We faced a team not interested in playing football; they only wanted a point, trying to keep the ball out of play rather than inside. It didn’t make for a great spectacle, but we still showed a good face,” analyzed Antoine Gérard.

For the match against Thonon Evian, there may be a sense of revenge in the air since the Violettes lost 2-0 in the first leg. “The first round was a tough moment for us, both tactically and individually. The real desire for this rematch is to get back to winning ways and erase that first match,” warned the coach. Toulouse’s team remains comfortably at the top of the table ahead of Auxerre, who will play in Lille this Sunday.
