The Verrières rural community is gearing up for its VTT ride on March 18th. Some new features are expected in the program.
The Gauls of Verrières know how to welcome guests. When it comes to being original, the Verrières residents put all the right ingredients in their Gaulish pot. Even the real Panoramix would be impressed with a recipe that is so captivating. Once again this year, the Verrières rural community is organizing the Verrières event. A VTT ride, themed around Astérix and Obélix, which fits well with this village nestled in the heart of the Lumansonesque region.
The organizers are calling for participants to join the third edition of this sporting event on Saturday, April 18th. And true to Verrières style, the same route as last year will not be repeated. Volunteers have put their hearts into creating new paths to ensure that regular attendees do not get tired of pedaling through the hills of Lévézou. “There will be two loops and several cutoff points for those who may be tired or attacked by Gauls powered by magic potion,” explained Thomas Pons, head of this joyful organization.
A 10 km hiking trail
Various options are available for registration and places are limited for both the evening event and the bike ride. For the first time, a 10 km hiking trail is being organized. Participants can enjoy the unique refreshments prepared by the rural community members. “We have many new and unusual projects that we are happy to share with participants each year,” added the organizer. Apart from the friendly atmosphere, this event is also supportive and donates a portion of the profits each year to Team Arnaud de Millau, who are actively fighting against ALS. Last year, 800 euros were donated to the association.
(Note: The event includes both VTT rides and a new 10 km hiking trail. It is also a charitable event supporting the fight against ALS)
