Despite these actions, he had found another team. The coach of a local football club in Caen was placed in custody on Wednesday for rape and invasion of privacy on several minor players, the Caen prosecutor’s office revealed on Thursday.
“The charges involve three victims aged 13 to 17 at the time of the incidents,” said Joël Garrigue, the Caen public prosecutor, confirming information from Ouest-France.
Aged 30, the coach was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday. The teenage girls were members of the Maladrerie Omni Sports club on the outskirts of Caen. According to Ouest-France, he is accused of abusing young girls and watching some of them while they were naked in the locker rooms. The club reportedly dismissed him in June 2025 and implemented awareness measures. The man has since found a new position in a club in Gard, the prosecutor added.
