In a constant effort to improve the recovery conditions of its players, the Sporting Club de Toulon has equipped itself with hot and cold baths developed by Cryotank Sport. Installed during the summer preparation, these facilities are now an integral part of the group’s daily routine. Used after each training session, these baths help promote optimal recovery between efforts. The protocol is based on an alternation between hot and cold, according to durations and passages defined by the staff.

Yoan Bianciotto, physical trainer, explains: “The cold bath reduces inflammation, limits muscle pain, and accelerates recovery. The hot bath, on the other hand, promotes relaxation, improves blood circulation, and contributes to overall better recovery. The alternation of the two is particularly interesting, especially during periods of intensified efforts.”

Beyond comfort, these methods respond to a performance challenge. Inadequate recovery can lead to a decrease in performance, accumulation of fatigue, and increased risk of injury. Integrating these baths into the club’s program allows for better support of the players in the repetition of efforts.

Developed by a family-owned company based in Bordeaux, Cryotank Sport offers solutions designed for clubs. Its founder, Mathieu Peluchon, former professional rugby player, designed these basins to meet the demands of high level sports: robustness, hygiene, and constant temperature maintenance through a system of thermoregulation and filtration.

From Cryotank Sport’s perspective: “We wanted to offer a solution adapted to clubs, without installation constraints, with equipment designed for intensive and daily use. Today, we equip more than 200 clubs and support the development of structures aiming to professionalize.”

The alternation between hot and cold baths allows for a natural drainage effect, similar to a recovery massage, particularly sought after in high-level sports.

With these installations, the Sporting Club de Toulon continues to develop its performance environment, offering its players tools tailored to the demands of modern football.
