Key Points:

  • Eric Bru’s proteges won one of the five tickets awarded last Sunday in Bruguières.
  • Christine Bru had to step in for Laëtitia Pech, a key player, during an important session that could impact the departmental title or regional championship.
  • Newcomers from Montberon performed well in a competitive district.
  • Other players from Saint-Jean and Bessières are also expected to challenge their rivals.
  • Several players, including Marie-Amélie Gangneux, competed in a recent game at Lapeyrouse-Fossat.

It’s not easy to replace a strong link like Laëtitia Pech, especially during an important session that could determine the conquest of the departmental title, or at the very least, participation in the regional championship.

However, that’s exactly what happened to Christine Bru last weekend on the banks of the Hers. The wife of the president (Éric, without naming names) was paired with two teammates who had made their mark in the 2025 season. Valérie Deloi excelled in mixed doubles, and Elodie Marty in head-to-head competition.

It’s also not easy in a competitive district co-piloted by Brigitte Sans, “Fred” Debezi, and Raymond Neveu, to secure a spot in the sun. Montberon, supported by some promising newcomers, made a strong impression. Sandra Gabani and Aurore Dionisi will travel to Capens on April 12th and possibly the 13th, alongside Lecinana and Bouin, among others.

Additionally, Saint-Jean, with the trio of Louterbach, Faccin, and Bigot, and Bessières, where the experienced Marie-Christine Miquel is based, are poised to challenge their competition.

Marie-Amélie Gangneux, who previously represented Gargas, successfully claimed a ticket at Lapeyrouse-Fossat, alongside other skilled players like Angélique Sournac, Ilona Pagès, Michelle Visciano, Isabelle Vergnes, and Nathalie Pitot.
