The Saint-Pierre region in Brest is delighted with the addition of new points to their account every day. These points, obtained through the purchase of fruits and vegetables by Carrefour customers, have allowed the club to acquire equipment that they would not have been able to afford on their own, including a minibus. This achievement has been a source of pride for the 1,400 members gathered around the challenge. Carrefour’s support has not only provided material benefits, but also fostered a sense of camaraderie, kindness, mutual assistance, and healthy eating.

A program that does good

Learning sports and eating better go hand in hand. This is the essence of Carrefour’s Sports Clubs program, launched in 2023 as part of the Act For Food commitment. The aim is to support both the consumption of fruits and vegetables and amateur sports. For every euro spent on fruits and vegetables, customers with a Carrefour Club Card receive a point to allocate to the sports association of their choice. The association can then unlock sports equipment and have a chance to win a minibus.

An exceptional ambassador

Supporting amateur sports and promoting healthy eating are the values upheld by Carrefour’s Sports Clubs program, and they are also the values championed by Teddy Riner, a five-time Olympic judo medalist.

>Teddy, why can this program help amateur clubs?

Because everything starts in these clubs. It is where one learns the values of sports: respect, the desire to excel, team spirit… Yet most of them lack resources.

>So, how does it work in practice?

Simply subscribe to the Carrefour Club loyalty program to participate. Every euro spent on fruits or vegetables earns a point to be allocated to the chosen club, to help them acquire equipment.

>You advocate for eating well. How is the Carrefour program aligned with these values?

It is a gesture that helps amateur clubs, and also encourages incorporating more fruits and vegetables in one’s daily shopping. And that makes all the difference! Eating well allows for more energy and better recovery. These good habits are crucial for everyone, starting from a young age.
