Victory of Pavie against La Nicolaête

Winner (3-0) against La Nicolaête at the end of a masterful match this Saturday, April 4th, Pavie climbs out of the relegation zone. Three valuable points that come just in time before facing the leader on April 18th.

At the final whistle, the joy of the Paviens was a pleasure to see after a perfectly controlled encounter where the defense held firm and local goalkeeper Simon Laborie shone.

FCP started strong and Pau, well launched on the right, saw his shot skim the post (3rd minute). The visitors didn’t wait long to respond and Laborie blocked Legardeur’s attempt (8th minute). Pavie increased the pressure and created good chances to open the scoring: Claverie’s shot toward the left post (15th minute), three minutes later Pau and Gabriel were blocked by Castagné, and Catala’s shot was diverted for a corner by the visiting goalkeeper (28th minute).

The road to maintenance is still long

Upon returning from the break, it was La Nicolaête who took control of the match. Diarra’s shot missed the target (51st minute), before Laborie pushed away a free kick from Quentin Fossaluzza (68th minute). Galiana’s injury substitution (70th minute) would reorganize the defense, but without consequence for Eutique’s men.

With this deserved victory, the Paviens climb out of the relegation zone, but the road to maintenance is still long, as the leader, EFC de la Vallée, comes to the Vieux-Pont on April 18th. Another decisive match that must be won.
