Twenty years after the triumph at the Stade de France, AS Nancy-Lorraine reunites with OGC Nice for a historic celebration. Despite administrative delays, authorities have approved this gala match scheduled for April 18th. A unique opportunity to honor the heroes of 2006 at Marcel Picot. The Marcel Picot stadium is set to resonate with nostalgia. Two decades after lifting the Coupe de la Ligue, former AS Nancy Lorraine players are putting on their boots again for a memorable showdown against OGC Nice. While approval from the prefectural services and the Metropolis took time to arrive, following recent incidents in the stands, the organization is now confirmed for Saturday, April 18th, with a kick-off scheduled for 6 p.m. This prestigious event, orchestrated by former striker Moncef Zerka and Farid Harrous, will take place the day after hosting Annecy in the championship. On the pitch, the public will see iconic faces such as Pape Diakhate, Fred Biancalani, Cédric Lécluse, Adrian Sarkisian, Olivier Sorin, among others, coming to commemorate the success of April 22, 2006. Facing them, an equally prestigious delegation from the Côte d’Azur will be present. More than just a friendly match, this collective jubilee promises a communion between different generations of Nancy supporters and their legends. Laurent Pilloni hosts Farid Harous, one of the organizers of this event in “100% ASNL.”
