After seeing their Ligue 1 match against PSG, originally scheduled for April 11, postponed, RC Lens has decided to schedule a friendly match against FC Rouen today.
RC Lens will face FC Rouen in a friendly match on April 11 (2 p.m.) at the Bollaert stadium to replace the clash against Paris Saint-Germain, rescheduled to May 13, and “keep the rhythm,” the Sang et Or announced on Monday evening.
This match, the club explains in a statement, will allow the Artois club to “compensate for the absence of competition for fifteen days” due to the controversial postponement of the Ligue 1 duel between PSG (first, 60 points) and its runner-up (59 pts, with a game in hand).
Christophe Gleizes honored
Against Lens’ wishes, the capital club obtained from the Professional Football League (LFP) on Thursday the postponement of this match, initially scheduled for April 11, between their Champions League quarterfinals against Liverpool.
The Artésiens will therefore face the Normandy club, third in the National league, who were not scheduled to play a league match this weekend. The club from the mining basin specifies that it will donate part of its profits to the Reporters Without Borders organization, and its players “will wear a t-shirt during warm-up calling for the release of Christophe Gleizes,” a French sports journalist arrested in Algeria in May 2024 and imprisoned since June 29, 2025.
