Bruno Salomone did not keep his illness a secret during the filming of A priori. At the end of the first season, when he found out he was sick again, he warned his friend and producer Benoit Masocco. “We knew that unfortunately for season 2, we would have to reconsider his role in the series,” he explained. “And also, the unfair question of insurance came up, if it doesn’t cover you, it’s a double punishment…and you can’t continue doing your job.”

The producer praised France Télévisions for their exemplary handling of the situation, stating that abandoning “someone who is sick” was out of the question. They had to make adjustments to accommodate Bruno’s health condition, initially planning to replace his on-screen presence with video interventions. However, even that was not possible, so they resorted to sending him voice messages to record from home.

Despite everyone’s efforts to adjust, Bruno eventually realized he could not physically continue, which was difficult for him to accept. The teams adapted as best they could, ultimately incorporating his voice recordings into the scenes. When the series was finally aired, Bruno had already passed away.

An homage to Bruno Salomone was paid by the teams of A priori, with a minute of applause dedicated to his memory. His colleagues were deeply moved by the tribute, acknowledging his love for laughter and the stage. Despite the emotional challenges, the show must go on, and the team continued to work on the series even without Bruno’s physical presence.

The teams of A priori continued to honor Bruno’s memory, showing their respect and appreciation for his contributions to the show. The premiere of the series coincided with Bruno’s funeral day, creating a bittersweet moment for everyone involved. The teams in the South were acknowledged for their dedication to the project, underscoring the impact of Bruno’s absence.

In the midst of these emotional tributes, a collector’s magazine featuring behind-the-scenes stories and memorable moments from the show will be available from April 3 to 16.
