In “The Voice”, Joanna impresses Lara Fabian eighteen years after her semi-final in “Star Academy”
Joanna sent Lara Fabian packing eighteen years after her time on “Star Academy” in a recent episode of “The Voice”. Even though it’s not the same Joanna who graced “Star Academy”, she’s back in the spotlight competing in a singing contest. She managed to win over the judges and now dreams of a similar success.
Back in 2018, Joanna made it to the semi-finals of the season that Mickels Réa won. This time, she’s joining Lara Fabian’s team to continue her journey. Her blind audition on Saturday, March 28th, broadcasted on TF1, received unanimous praise.
“It was perfect, it was monumental,” Florent Pagny exclaimed after Joanna’s rendition of “Sur un prélude de Bach”. He was eager to have her on his team and even tried to block Lara Fabian to secure Joanna.
Moved by Joanna, Lara Fabian invited her to perform a duet of her song “Tu es mon autre” during her tour. The two singers shared a special moment on “The Voice” stage. This bond prompted Florent Pagny to consider lifting the block on Lara Fabian during the competition.
With Joanna now fully immersed in the journey and back in the limelight, she reflected on her music career. She admitted to facing challenges in the past, but now feels ready and whole to compete in “The Voice”. She expressed her growth and the opportunity to showcase her true self. Stay tuned to see more of Joanna in the upcoming live shows.
