At the end of the day on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, firefighters and police discovered Loana’s lifeless body in her apartment near Nice train station. She was only 48 years old. An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of death, according to the public prosecutor of Nice, Damien Martinelli. A neighbor, who had not heard from her for several days, alerted the authorities.
Initial findings on site confirmed that her death occurred several days earlier. She had a wound at the back of her skull and bruises on her lower back, suggesting that the death may be related to a fall. At this stage of the investigation, there is no evidence of third-party involvement. Her dog Titi was also found dead at the scene.
A mother marked forever
Behind the star, there was a wounded mother. When she entered the Loft in 2001, Loana was already a mother to a young daughter, Mindy, whom she did not have custody of. This information was kept secret until Paris Match published a photo of her holding her baby, sold by her own mother to the magazine. Loana later admitted feeling betrayed, before ultimately understanding her mother’s actions.

It’s the most beautiful photo of my life. It’s THE photo of my life. Even more than my Titi and my mother.
