Khanh Hoa positions entertainment industry as new growth pillar
The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province has recently released a plan to implement the Strategy for the Development of Cultural Industries until 2030, with a vision to 2045. In this plan, the entertainment industry associated with cultural heritage is identified as an innovative direction, gradually becoming a new growth engine for the region.
According to the plan, Khanh Hoa is restructuring its development model by placing cultural and entertainment industries at the forefront, with tourism remaining a pillar. Creative industries and digital cultural industries constitute the foundation for growth. This strategic shift aims to increase the economic value of cultural resources, moving away from a reliance on natural resources exploitation.
By 2030, Khanh Hoa aims to develop 3-5 distinctive cultural products and brands of national and international importance. It plans to build at least one creative space and a cultural industry complex bearing the Khanh Hoa brand. The province expects revenues from performing arts to reach around 8 billion VND annually, with cultural tourism revenue representing 10% of total tourist income. The growth rate of cultural industry exports is projected to be around 7% annually.
Integrating the entertainment sector into the development structure not only expands the economic space but also enhances the quality of tourist experiences. It fosters the creation of culturally and entertainment products with high added value and unique local characteristics.
Through this strategy, Khanh Hoa aims to build a modern cultural and industrial ecosystem, enhance competitiveness, and gradually affirm its position on the regional and international creative economy map.
