Lexi Jones, daughter of the singer David Bowie and top model Iman, has opened up about her struggles during adolescence on Instagram. Despite being the daughter of two celebrities who were iconic figures in the industry, Lexi revealed the challenges she faced growing up under the shadow of their fame.
She spoke about feeling observed and not truly seen for who she was, which led to a sense of emptiness despite a seemingly full life. At the age of 11, Lexi fell into depression, battled bulimia, and engaged in self-harm. When her father was diagnosed with liver cancer three years later, she turned to alcohol and drugs as coping mechanisms.
As a last resort, her parents decided to have her admitted to a specialized facility for three months to break free from her dependencies. Lexi recalled the difficult experience of being stripped of everything familiar and forced to live in harsh conditions.
After undergoing intense treatment, including dealing with the loss of her father, Lexi eventually found her own path and decided to pursue a career as an artist and singer. She released her debut album, “Xandri,” last year, showcasing her talents as a musician.
