Laurence Boccolini to Host Music-Centered Show on W9
At 62 years old, Laurence Boccolini is embarking on a new chapter. After leaving France Télévisions a few months ago, she is gearing up to return to the screen on W9 with a unique music-centered format.
According to “Le Parisien,” the host will lead an entertainment program produced by H2O Productions, Cyril Hanouna’s company. The concept will bring together personalities and contributors for musical challenges in a light and dynamic atmosphere. Two episodes have already been ordered, with filming scheduled for spring.
An Assumed Transition
This shift comes after a period of reflection for Laurence Boccolini. Excluded from certain programs on public television, she chose to reclaim her freedom, refusing certain proposed conditions: “It was not, to my eyes, conceivable that in exchange for the promise of a few prime-time shows in 2026, I should consent to the exclusivity of my TV performances for the channel.”
Since then, she has joined Laurent Ruquier on the radio show “Les Grosses Têtes” on RTL, while remaining open to new projects.
Return to a Familiar Territory
With this new program, Laurence Boccolini is revisiting a world she knows well. Between 2015 and 2018, she had already hosted “Le Grand Blind Test,” a popular musical format blending humor and competition.
A music enthusiast, she has also showcased another side of her talent by winning “The Mask Singer” in 2019. She also long served as a commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest alongside Stéphane Bern.
Baba is “Very Happy”
Cyril Hanouna expressed his happiness about this new venture on his show “Tout beau, tout neuf.” He also took the time to thank Jordan De Luxe for his part in making this happen.
“It was one evening, I was at a friend’s, talking about Cyril, and I said: ‘But wait, why don’t you have fun producing it? There is something to do with Laurence Boccolini,'” recounted the contributor. The rest, as they say…
