Elie Semoun Becomes Father for the Second Time at 61 Years Old, Élie Semoun seems to have found a new balance in his life with Aude Fraineau, with whom he welcomed a baby boy a few months ago. However, before this, the comedian had a different life: he was married to Annie Florence Jeannesson, with whom he had his first child, Antoine, born in 1995.
Speaking on the podcast La Fame, the actor reflected on his divorce and explained how his fame played a role in his separation. “It’s very hard to start from the bottom, unknown, and become very famous, not all at once but almost, all while balancing the couple’s life,” he shared.
Elie Semoun reveals the reasons for his divorce. According to Élie Semoun, success profoundly changed his relationship with others, especially women. “You’re in the seduction game, so inevitably it causes problems in the couple because girls look at you differently,” he explained. This new situation gradually weakened his marriage.
The comedian also realized the impact of his fame during his travels abroad. “It was funny because when I was filming in New York, I saw my true value as a guy: it was zero. I got divorced around 37/38 years old and it doesn’t surprise me because I needed to experience my celebrity life alone,” he added.
With celebrity status, relationships with women progress “much faster.” “Girls who absolutely didn’t notice me do, sometimes beautiful girls. It’s very pleasant. The fact that you are known is part of your charm,” he acknowledged. He also mentioned the tensions that his fame created in his subsequent relationships.
This divorce was a “shitty” period for him, but his main concern was the well-being of his son Antoine, who has Asperger’s syndrome and was 7 years old at the time. “My fear was to completely disturb him. At the time, I was with someone Antoine didn’t like. It was quite violent,” he admitted in a previous interview.
