The meeting has become a must for music lovers in the Morlaix area. On Tuesday, March 24, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the protestant church of Morlaix will resonate with the sounds of harpsichords, flutes, and violins. As part of the Early Music Day, the intermunicipal school of artistic education Le Patio offers an immersion in the repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries.
An eclectic program
The audience will be able to discover the work of the Early Music Ensemble and the Choir of Le Patio. Under the nave of the church, the works of great masters, such as Vivaldi or Telemann, will mingle with older pieces by Thomas Tallis or the Spanish Juan del Encina.
In addition to the established ensembles, several students of harpsichord, transverse flute, and violin will perform as soloists or in small formations, thus offering a glimpse of the diversity of teachings provided at Le Patio.
Faithful to its desire to democratize access to culture, Le Patio offers this event for free. However, given the limited capacity of the church, it is advisable not to arrive at the last minute to secure a seat.
