Many French celebrities end up settling in Paris when their career requires them to engage in projects held in the capital. This is the case for Vitaa, who has been living in Rueil-Malmaison, in the region of Île-de-France, for a few years now with her partner and children. Unfortunately, she fell victim to a burglary in 2023 and another similar event in 2025. These were painful experiences for the singer, who was able to return to her apartment in her hometown, Lyon, to recover.
The apartment where Vitaa recharges in Lyon
For several years, Vitaa has revealed that she made her first real estate purchase in her hometown. In an interview with Lyon People, she explained that this choice was a natural one. “I have all my family in Lyon, all my loved ones in the Lyon countryside,” she said, before continuing, “I bought an apartment in the Lyon countryside because it was important for me to be close to my family.”
At that time, the star had not made the move to Île-de-France and certainly did not see herself settling there. “I have never felt comfortable in Paris, and I love my city. I couldn’t live in Paris, I only go there for promotions, I commute. But whenever I wanted to buy, I knew I was going to buy in Lyon,” affirmed the interpreter of the song “Un dimanche avec toi.” While she may have reconsidered her position, she has maintained all her ties.
Her favorite spots in the city
During her conversation with the media, Vitaa took the opportunity to reveal her favorite places in Lyon. On this occasion, she particularly emphasized her love for the restaurants in her city, especially “all the bouchons in Vieux Lyon.” These are traditional establishments serving regional dishes, decorated in the old style with the famous red and white checkered tablecloths, offering classic menu items. On the menu: pike dumplings, veal head, and beef tripe.
It was also noted that the singer had a special affection for a place where she grew up. “I also love St. Just because it’s my high school neighborhood,” she explained before confessing, “I adore the amphitheater.
