The hunt for the Power Player begins in high gear in the season 3 of The Power. As soon as they arrive at the isolated villa in the Moroccan desert, the Players are called to the arena for their first decisive test.
Each secretly records a time in a speed test. But Kaos, the new game master, spices up the announcement by revealing the winning time to everyone. This allows the candidates to observe each other’s reactions to start their investigation.
In the villa, Nehuda is convinced that Jordan is the Power Player. This suspicion immediately reassures the real power holder. “I am the first Power Player,” Jonathan confides.
Seeing a wrong lead emerge is an opportunity for him. He plans to exploit this collective mistake to divert suspicions. But there is a danger: his best friend Enzo. Because he knows him too well, Enzo could be the first to spot any inconsistencies in his behavior. The game begins, where every glance becomes a clue.
A new rule emerges: the Power Player is no longer alone.
While the Players are still trying to identify the Power Player, Kaos strikes again. A new rule is announced: the Power Player can choose a companion to help in the mission.
This revelation immediately worries the candidates. They will no longer have to trust only one player but potentially two. The accomplice has a clear mission: divert suspicions and protect the Power Player.
But this pact carries a major risk. If the Power Player is exposed, the accomplice falls with them. For Jonathan, the strategic question is immediate: who to choose?
Two options emerge: Enzo, his trusted friend who could help without question, or Jordan, already suspected by several Players and would be a perfect diversion. But Kaos does not intend to make things simple.
Kaos then introduces a particularly sneaky mechanism. To discover his status, the accomplice must eat a rose trapped before everyone. All the flowers have a pleasant taste except one, which tastes like spoiled sardines. This is a perfect poker face test. But the chaos continues. Once the accomplice designated by Jonathan, a third player joins the secret: Benoît. Chosen directly by Kaos, he also becomes an accomplice tasked with protecting the identity of the Power Player.
The situation suddenly becomes much more dangerous for Jonathan. “Let’s hope Benoît doesn’t make a mistake,” he confides. “He is the weak point of this trio,” he adds, worried about his position in the game being compromised without having control over the situation.
Now, any misstep could reveal their alliance. And the pressure will rise with the first team game in the Kaoverse, where the Players can try to recover a clue about the identity of the Power Player. A test where every gesture will be scrutinized, and where the accomplices may be tempted to discreetly sabotage the mission.
