In episode 2 of “Who Wants to Marry My Son?”, the meetings take an unexpected turn. With an overbearing mother, contestants who are not shy to speak up, and the surprise arrival of twins, Nicolas seems overwhelmed by the events. However, when it comes time to make a choice, mother and son must eliminate certain candidates. A decision far from simple.
From the start of the speed dating, one thing stands out: Carole, Nicolas’s mother, does not intend to remain a spectator. Very enthusiastic about the idea of meeting the contestants, she clearly announces, “I can’t wait, with all my heart, as a mother, to test the contestants”.
But soon, her behavior destabilizes some candidates. When one of them tries to talk directly to Nicolas, tension rises. “This is my date with Nicolas, please let us talk,” she says. The remark does not go unnoticed. Carole continues to intervene in the conversations, to the point where the contestant finally blurts out, “Excuse me, but you talk a lot”. A moment that perfectly summarizes the relationship between Nicolas and his mother. Carole, very protective, assumes her role. But this closeness can sometimes complicate the meetings. Nicolas, on the other hand, often remains silent in these situations, letting his mother lead the conversation.
The arrival of twins shakes things up even more in “Who Wants to Marry My Son?” If the atmosphere wasn’t peculiar enough, a completely unexpected situation disrupts the meetings. After an initial exchange with Yolande, a new candidate arrives, leaving Nicolas astonished. “What? You are already here. What are you doing?” The young woman then reveals the truth: “I am Yolande’s twin sister who just arrived”. The shock is immediate. Nicolas is in disbelief: “It’s incredible! I am shocked!” Even Carole, who is rarely at a loss for words, admits to being destabilized.
Things become even stranger when the twins explain that they could both be interested in the same man. An idea that does not sit well with Nicolas’s mother. “How can two sisters have feelings for the same man? It’s a little unhealthy,” she says. Faced with this improbable scenario, Nicolas quickly prefers to clarify the situation.
After all these meetings, the time finally comes for the first decisions. Faced with the gathered contestants, Nicolas announces that he must make a choice. And his decision directly concerns the episode with the twins.
The eliminated candidate is Loana. The young man explains his reasoning, saying, “I don’t want you to be in rivalry.” He goes on to say, “I didn’t want to have this relationship with two sisters.” For him, it’s all about respect.
Loana, on the other hand, takes the decision philosophically, saying, “If he stays with my sister in the end, he made a classy choice to leave me at the beginning of the adventure.” This elimination marks the end of this first stage for Nicolas and his mother. But the adventure is just beginning: with six contestants still in the running, the next meetings could bring more surprises.
