On April 11th, Daum reported that CEO Cha Ga Won was preparing to take strong legal actions in response to numerous accusations against her. The CEO’s legal representatives argue that the incident is not just a financial scandal, but stems from a contractual dispute and has been misrepresented. The lawyers claim that the partner breached contractual obligations, leading to the suspension of funds to compensate for damages and interests during the dispute resolution process.

Meanwhile, Cha Ga Won’s team denied the allegations of a 30 billion won (over 500 billion VND) fraud, stating it was a “coordinated smear campaign” to pressure the company’s management and control.

The attorney emphasized participation in the entire investigation process, including examining digital data to prove Cha Ga Won’s innocence. Additionally, the CEO stated that current financial difficulties, including artists’ payment delays, result from external pressures and a negative media campaign affecting the company’s cash flow and reputation.

As long as the legal dispute remains unresolved, the wave of artists leaving Cha Ga Won’s ecosystem, including One Hundred, Big Planet Made, and INB100, continues to spread. Many artists such as Taemin, VIVIZ group, and Lee Seung Gi have terminated their contracts with Big Planet Made. The nine members of The Boyz have also requested contract termination with One Hundred. The trio consisting of Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin has taken a similar step, escalating internal tensions.

In response to this wave of departures, the company stated efforts are being made to stabilize operations, with issues being resolved through negotiation.

The incident has attracted significant media attention: an article and video highlight the artist exodus due to the fraud allegations against Cha Ga Won.
