Cinemaz: Ten Years of Passion for Cinema in Mazamet

The Mazamet hall hosted the 10th edition of the Salon des Cinéphiles on April 4 and 5, an event that has become essential in the world of cinema and vinyl.

Last April 4 and 5, the Mazamet hall was filled with the spirit of cinema on the occasion of the 10th edition of the Salon des Cinéphiles, a market for cinema and vinyl organized by the association Tous les Possibles and its tireless representative Evelyne Marty-Marinone. Posters, books, photos, cinema equipment, vinyl records, DVDs, gadgets, and cinema-related goodies took over the stands, offering enthusiasts a dive into the universe and atmosphere of a golden age of the big screen.

To celebrate this 10th anniversary, the organizing team invited several renowned personalities, starting with the actor-stuntman Michel Berreur, the event’s patron since its creation in 2016. Having worked alongside legendary figures such as Claude Carliez, Daniel Breton, or Rémy Julienne, he has lent his talent to films that have become cult classics such as “Fear Over the City,” “The Professional,” or “The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob,” and has dubbed iconic actors such as Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon, and Louis de Funès.

Actor Antoine Coesens, known for his roles in TV series like “Alex Hugo” or “RIS Police Scientifique” and appearances in films directed by Bertrand Tavernier and Bernard Weber, was also part of the event. Jean-Louis Barcelona, who started his career in Aussillon before joining the Marseille conservatory and taking on supporting roles in cinema and television, also participated in the event.

These special guests graciously shared anecdotes and memories from their respective careers with the public. In addition to the meetings, Cinemaz also offered various activities for young people interested in cinema professions, as well as exhibitions for cinema enthusiasts.

Driven by Evelyne Marty-Marinone’s love of cinema, inherited from her cinephile father and years spent in Parisian cinema clubs, this event has now become a must-attend cultural event in Mazamet’s calendar, led by a team of dedicated volunteers whose commitment continues to attract an increasingly large audience year after year.
