“Professional reasons”
In a backstage video for the program, Cyprien commented on the reasons for his future departure. “It’s a decision that has been matured for quite some time. My departure is driven by professional reasons. We are approaching the end-of-year deadlines, exams, and dissertation submissions,” he explained.
In an interview with Télé-Loisirs, Jean-Luc Reichmann revealed that he knew his champion had “a deadline”. “Sometimes he would wake up at 5 a.m. to study for his exams. I could tell that he had worked a day or two before coming to the set,” he stated.
“I knew he had major professional milestones ahead because we had discussed them. It was important that he did not put himself in danger. I do not fight to keep someone who knows where their priorities lie,” the host further commented.
