CECI invites you to a ciné-debate around the film “Un simple accident“, Palme d’Or Cannes 2025.
This film by Jafar Panahi, in competition for the 2026 Lux Prize from the public,
will lead to a debate led by Réza Salami.
Organized by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy, in collaboration with the MEDIA aspect of the Creative Europe program and Europa Cinemas, the Lux Public Prize reflects the European Parliament’s commitment to cinema and education.
Synopsis
Iran, present day. A man accidentally comes across someone he believes to be his former torturer. But when faced with this family man who vehemently denies ever being his tormentor, doubts arise. A film that resonates in a burning reality.
