France’s hopes for Eurovision have been high for a long time, especially since Marie Myriam’s victory in 1977. Many have tried their luck after “L’Oiseau et L’Enfant,” but the win has continued to elude them. Barbara Pravi’s “Voilà ” came close, but it was MÃ¥neskin, the Italian rock band, who took over in 2021. French fans were hopeful last year, with Louane dedicating a moving song to her mom and dreaming of Eurovision together. The highly anticipated final will take place in Vienna, Austria, on May 16th, where 17-year-old Monroe will represent France.
Monroe, a young opera singer, won “Prodiges” in 2024, dazzling with her presence and vocal technique. She will perform “Regarde !” at Eurovision, a challenge despite her experience singing in churches and cathedrals. Currently, Monroe is a top favorite among bookmakers, embracing the opportunity with honor. Competing directly with Finland’s Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen, Monroe stays focused on sharing the message of her song, no matter the view counts.
On May 16th, all eyes will be on the Eurovision stage as Monroe competes with other talented artists, including Finland’s strong competitors and many others.
