At the 51st César Awards ceremony that took place on Thursday, February 26, 2026 in Paris, Nadia Melliti won the César for Best Female Newcomer for her role in “The Last Girl” by Hafsia Herzi, and “The Song of the Forests” by Vincent Munier won the César for Best Documentary and Best Sound.

The Region actively supports the film industry, a key sector of the territory, from emergence to distribution, also relying on a network of 11 committed and facilitating local authorities (Plato network) and all partners in the image sector including the Reims Studios (winners of France 2030). This industry generates artistic and technical jobs (technicians, actors, service providers, studios, etc.), highlights natural and architectural heritage, and boosts local cultural and tourist life, benefiting the regional economy.

To achieve this, the Grand Est region provides financial support for writing, development, and production of film and audiovisual works, as well as specific support related to hosting film productions, implemented by the Bureau des Images.
