Claude Francois Junior aims to buy back the Moulin de Dannemois and turn it into a luxurious hotel. Negotiations have reached an agreement on a price of 11 million euros with the current owners for the acquisition. The plan includes significant renovations with a budget of 4.5 million euros to transform the mill into a 17-room hotel, including two suites. The son wishes to recreate the original decor chosen by his father, a blend of antiquities, African art, and 1960s and 1970s design. Additionally, a Mediterranean restaurant and a spa-sauna area overlooking the river will be constructed. The project is expected to open in 2028, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the singer’s passing. Claude Francois Junior envisions the hotel as a tribute to his father’s spirit of joy and celebration, where visitors can experience his hospitality as if spending a weekend at his home. Fans will still be able to visit the museum dedicated to the singer during the week, and special events will be held in March at the mill.
