Several hundreds of thousands of euros were stolen. In the 1st district of Lyon (Rhône), police intervened following a theft, with forced entry, of filming equipment stored in a film production truck.

The incident took place between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, according to police sources cited by Le Parisien. The vehicle was being monitored by security agents.

Upon arrival, employees discovered the ceiling of the truck had been cut. The thieves appeared to be prepared: a motion detector inside did not work and showed a red mark. Additionally, the area was not covered by CCTV.

Two professional cameras and a series of lenses were stolen, with the damages estimated between half a million and one million euros. A police investigation is underway.

Two burglaries on the set of a TF1 fiction

This is not the first time a theft of filming cameras has occurred. At the end of last year, also in Lyon, two burglaries a month apart occurred on the set of the 2nd season of “Flashback,” the TF1 fiction series starring Michaël Youn and Constance Gay.

Trucks carrying rented cameras for filming the next six episodes were targeted in the night while parked in a parking lot.
