Céline Dion, in Paris? There’s a good chance that the speculation will come to an end this Monday, March 30th. The Canadian superstar, who is not only celebrating her 58th birthday today, is set to appear on France 2 in the evening to officially confirm the rumors surrounding her French tour project, according to Le Figaro.

«The dates, the unique venue, the name of the concerts, their poster, and the instructions to register for the presale, anticipates the newspaper, which believes we should finally know everything about her grand return to the stage. It is expected to take place at the Paris La Défense Arena, according to a previous investigation by our colleagues.

The highlight of the show: the Eiffel Tower will also be part of it on Monday. According to BFMTV, which captured images of a rehearsal at night using surveillance camera, words could appear after an unusual sparkle: «Céline Dion», «Paris» and «I am ready».

What’s the truth? For now, the mystery remains, but the official statement on France 2 seems to coincide with a teaser published on France TV’s X account, this Sunday: it’s a video montage of posters featuring Céline Dion’s titles that have recently invaded the streets of Paris. «Tomorrow evening, 9:05 p.m., France 2», the group writes.

Pour que tu m’aimes encore, Encore un soir, My Heart Will Go On… A week earlier, the discreet advertising campaign – black writing on a white background – stirred up a wave of mystery in the capital and on social media, hinting at the diva’s return for a series of concerts.

«Je sais pas comment te dire»

On her Instagram account, the latter neither denied nor confirmed it. Instead, the star of the latest Olympics opening ceremony posted a series of photos of herself in the French capital at different moments in her life. As a caption, she simply wrote: «I don’t know how to tell you…»

No reliable sources have spoken in the press yet, but the Canadian media La Presse echoed a possible upcoming event in the capital in the fall, in the form of a several weeks residency at Paris La Défense Arena, Europe’s largest indoor venue with a maximum capacity of about 40,000 seats.

In addition to her memorable performance of Hymn to Love on the Iron Lady in July 2024, her last concerts date back to 2017 in France and 2019 in the rest of the world. She was forced to interrupt her Courage World Tour due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and then for health issues.

Céline Dion on TikTok

Since 2022, Céline Dion has been battling against Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare incurable neurological disease which she shared in a touching documentary (but nonetheless difficult to watch) on Prime Video in June 2024.

Since then, rumors in the press have discussed the organization of future concerts in Paris and a new album, ten years after her last French album Encore un soir, as a tribute to René Angélil, her late husband and mentor.

Whether addressing the students of the Star Academy or the Eurovision audience, the performer of I’m Alive has never truly disappeared from the spotlight. Seen in tears at an Adele concert, she has recently made a remarkable entrance on TikTok, in her own way. Some things never change, not even Céline Dion.
