On the sets of Cube TV, we get caught up in the game, with fewer cameras’ eyes! Here, the sole ambition is to have a friendly and unforgettable time with friends and/or coworkers around a unique activity: television game shows. For the past year, Jérémie Jarny has been managing the company Cube TV in the city center of Brest, where he hosts several beloved entertainment shows from the small screen. All done with total spontaneity and in live conditions!
Plato on a plate! Executives from Brest who are members of the professional network Plato, led by the CCI Finistère, gathered at the offices of Cube TV in Brest, a company opened a year ago by Jérémie Jarny, also a member of the Plato network. The idea behind this event was to introduce their world and strengthen team bonds by sharing an entertainment activity inspired by a classic TV show.
This is the concept of Cube TV, a company offering a unique leisure activity: immersion in television game show sets to experience as a team, whether with family, friends, or coworkers. The franchise was established in 2022 in Nancy and has since opened eight replicas in France, including two in Brittany (Brest and Lanester).
Jérémie Jarny inaugurated Cube TV Brest in October 2024. A former radio journalist (he was one of the voices of Cherie FM in Quimper), the media man decided to venture into entrepreneurship while keeping a foot in the world that shaped him: television. “I started from scratch,” recalls the director. Business plans, financing, investment, recruitment – everything was carefully planned and developed. “I took the 5 Days to Start training at the CCI in Finistère in Quimper. This initial training helped me understand the concepts of business management, procedures, accounting, etc. I needed that to reassure myself and gain confidence.” Regular support from an accountant helped him quickly envision his project once he found the location.
Sharing a good time in live conditions
Jérémie Jarny settled on Glasgow Street in Brest’s city center: an unconventional space that needed extensive renovation. The entrepreneur invested 250,000 euros in these renovations: the 400 m² available were divided into six distinct rooms plus a welcoming area with a bar and light refreshments. Each room opens onto a unique space, represented by a game show-inspired entertainment set: the decor reminiscent of shows like The 12 Strikes of noon, A Family of Gold, Wheel of Fortune, or even Anything Goes on Friday. “The goal is to be immersed in these environments to share a good time, in live conditions,” smiles Jérémie Jarny, who has assembled a team of hosts responsible for the ambiance and game rules.
Team cohesion
This new place attracts all generations. The clientele includes both fans of these game shows and complete newcomers, just drawn by the desire to play. “The formula appeals to families as well as groups of friends. “We also offer space privatization for a special event such as a bachelorette or bachelor party, as well as company, sports seminars, or any team-building initiative,” emphasizes Jérémie Jarny, who complements his offer with catering, catering, and entertainment services. “We can accommodate up to 80 people simultaneously.”
On Google and social networks, Cube TV’s activity is awarded 5 stars and enthusiastic comments. “Our primary goal remains for people to have a good time and leave with a smile,” smiles Jérémie Jarny, who has managed to rally local businesses to provide prizes for the winners of these game shows. Admission prices are moderate, ranging from 10 to 30 euros per person, depending on the game’s duration and required number of participants.
Unique activity
The first year of operation was challenging due to construction work on nearby bus lines. Access to the street was closed for several months. The new director could not achieve the expected turnover. “Since last September and the end of the construction work, things have improved, and the activity has felt it,” rejoices Jérémie Jarny, who has stepped up his communication on social networks to expand Cube TV’s reputation. “We are the only ones offering this!” The argument resonates throughout Finistère, attracting teams from Carhaix, Morlaix, and Quimper to challenge their TV culture, and above all, to have fun.
