Half of the people cannot charge their electric car at home because they do not have a parking space to install a charging station. Eric Kopf points out, “It is important that companies provide this option to their employees.” Taking action, the start-up Electric Oasis, led by Kopf as the technical director, offers modular charging stations that are easy to install specifically for businesses.
This system is secure and does not require any civil engineering work. For example, setting up a 60-unit charging station at the electricity site in Strasbourg only took nine days to complete. Another significant advantage of this system is its flexibility to add modules as the fleet of vehicles to be charged evolves. It also facilitates and secures communication between the charging stations and vehicles by complying with the ISO 15118 standard.
Located in Haguenau, Electric Oasis was founded in 2023 and includes former employees of Hager among its team. The jury decided to award them the trophy for Technological Innovation, although they could have also been recognized for Start-up and Young Companies or Environmental Innovation categories.
